Bears & Mice, Oh My!

bear

These animal dreams are becoming exhausting. Truly. Why can't I just start having happy, carefree dreams about fairies and gnomes?

Actually, no. Forget the gnomes. Years ago I had a dream about them and it was very creepy indeed. I'll have to type it up one day. Maybe after I write it down, it won't feel so uncomfortable.

But first I need to type up my dream from two nights ago. Naturally, it's divided into different parts. The first section was frightening, the second was dark and evil and not at all like dreams I usually have, and the last part of my dream was absolute panic and heartbreak.

First part: Bears. Not cuddly Winnie-the-Pooh either, but the wildest most savage bears you can imagine. It was strange for me to have a dream about a creature that was so frightening, because in normal everyday life I don't see bears as they appeared in this particular dream.

We all know that bears are wild animals not to be underestimated, yet on television documentaries we so often see them raiding trash bins and occasionally having safe interaction with humans... for the most part anyway. Even these types of stories can have unhappy endings for the human. After all, these bears are creatures of the wild and not domesticated.

But in this dream I was walking around some city, and it was nighttime. During the day, there were no bears around but come nightfall every street corner was populated with at least one bear, which was chained to a building. They kind of reminded me of circus bears, and they were all standing tall on their hind quarters. They were really huge bears.

The chains that were around their stomachs were incredibly thick chains attached to a very large belt. I think the belt was red, and the bears were standing on a red block of some kind.

And these bears were CONSTANTLY growling and showing their HUGE fangs. If those chains broke, there's no doubt that any person within sight was going to be viciously mauled to death. I can't stress enough how untamed and savage they were. The best way I can think of to describe them is as killing machines.

Absolutely. Killing Machines. That sums it up pretty damn well.

Second part: This section of my dream is a little fuzzy. I just remember walking down some hallways and hearing footsteps somewhere behind me. It was a distinct shuffling, like someone in house slippers. In the dream, I was trying to ignore it but the entire time my intuition was telling me that these footsteps I was hearing somewhere around me were indeed very real and belonging to some evil entity. A ghost or something. I wasn't quite sure, but I wasn't about to dwell on it either.

But then I entered some room and there was an old lady there. She had a work-worn face. She was painting whatever room she was in, and literally looming over her was some evil entity. I didn't really see it, but when standing it's head touched the ceiling. The lady knew there was no way out, and she was calmly talking to it. All I recalled hearing was her telling it that she knew it was going to take possession of her and that her actions from that point on wouldn't be her own.

SO NOT MY NORMAL KIND OF DREAM! I was very glad that this dream was so short and not too detailed. I'm not into that kind of stuff at all.

Third part: Typical, typical, typical. More animals to rescue. I am so tired of these animal-in-distress dreams. As I said earlier, they're exhausting and this particular one was uncomfortable.

I was looking out the window and saw a big dog with a duck in it's mouth. I felt so sorry for this duck, and hoped like mad that it was already dead and that the dog did a quick kill.

Well, it didn't because this perfectly still duck trapped between this dog's teeth suddenly BLINKED IT'S EYES.

I was in sheer panic. My family was in the room with me, and they didn't seem to realize how awful this all was. They were all laid back and not taking my reaction very seriously, and then outside the window I saw three baby bunnies. They weren't harmed yet, but I was petrified that either they were going to be or that there were some that had already been harmed earlier.

I run outside, and once I reach that side of the yard I am completely FREAKING OUT and kind of pacing. I mean, I am l-o-s-i-n-g it. I was standing out there, all alone, not knowing what to do and HATING that the choice - life or death - was up to me. At least for that second, that poor duck was still alive. I wanted to rescue it from this dog, but I knew very well that if I rescued the duck it's suffering would prolong. I didn't want to be the cause of it's lingering suffering before eventual death, but at the same time I wasn't a murderer. I just didn't have it in me to kill, and inside all my panic I was trying to come up with the answer of whether or not killing the duck would be a gift... because it would end it's present suffering and panic... but I just couldn't get past the fact that I couldn't kill another living, innocent soul. I just couldn't do it, but boy was I CONSTANTLY panicking about whether I even had it in me to do the right thing.

But I HAD NO IDEA what the right thing was. What I wanted was for the dog to end that poor duck's suffering right then and there. At least then the duck was okay and the life/death decision wasn't going to be up to me.

I was so panicked in this dream that it literally woke me up.

LAST NIGHT'S DREAM:

mice

What a surprise, more animals.

My family and I just arrived at a pretty large beach house, and for some reason my grandparents were with me. (Both have passed on). In this dream, my grandfather had this really strange "hobby"/interest. Every time he was at a new beach house, he would set a trap for any mice. For whatever reason, he thought trapping mice in a new place was fun. His interest in it was sort of like a kid's, and I really didn't understand it. I tried to go along with it though, because he was really gung-ho about it. All I did was tell him that if a mouse enters one of his traps/cages, to be sure to let it go and not kill it.

Of course, then the dream turned into us being in this beach house which was simply OVERRUN with mice. There were bed bugs and a couple spiders, too, but the mice were EVERYWHERE. I absolutely hated it, and was trying really hard not to freak out and to just see it through. At one point I think I looked over at my grandmother and told her that what I instructed Grandpa earlier, about saving any mouse's life, wasn't a factor anymore. I hated admitting this, but I simply didn't see any other choice. There were just too many mice to contend with. And when I say too many, I'm talking hundreds upon hundreds. This was an infestation, and it just wasn't healthy or sane to allow it to continue.

Then fastforward to this afternoon:

My brother is getting married in May, at the beach, mind you. So today my mother tells me that my brother was looking up online beach houses for us to rent and stay in for when we go to this wedding.

I just find it a strange coincidence that last night I dreamed about a large beach house and then today my brother is talking to my mother about a beach house to rent that has 7 bedrooms.

If we end up staying at a beach house, and it's overrun by mice, I will never again not take my dreams seriously.

Update:

It's probably just a coincidence, but a few months later we sold our house. While the new house was being built, we rented a family friend's house on 43 acres. The place had been empty for quite some time, and for the entire time we were there this place was overrun by mice.

The Other Side, a Boy Spirit and Rainbow Bridge

Healing Waters

Monet2

A long time ago I dreamed about a place people go when they had died from drawn-out, debilitating diseases. They might have even been living people with diseases on earth, and they were just astral traveling in their sleep to those waters to aid in their healing.

At least that’s the feeling I received.

There was a creek with LOTS of people - young and old - in it, smiling and having fun. I knew that the water was healing them. There was a Victorian house kind of nearby, too, but I mainly remember the creek.

This dream felt very positive and carefree.

Little Boy

5littleboy

This is one that has always puzzled me. I dreamed this years ago, around the time I was having all those dreams about the past.

I was at my Grandma’s old house, the one she lived in when I was little. (We lived in the same neighborhood). I walked out the front door to go to the car and leave. When I was next to the driveway, a little boy around 5 years old ran up to me and clung to me for dear life. He begged and pleaded for me to stay there with him. He was crying crocodile tears; as if his world was going to come to an end if I left.

I was shocked b/c I had absolutely no idea that this boy was so attached to me, and I was upset b/c I really wanted to go… but how could I when he was crying so deeply for me to stay?

This is the strange part:
I was dressed in modern clothes and my surroundings were modern, yet the boy’s clothes weren’t. He wore little pants that went to his knees, a brown coat, hat and buttoned boots.

Turns out that in real life, my Grandma’s old neighbors were German and they used to have a little boy who died when he was four or five years old. Poor thing had a hole in his heart. Mom even said he used to wear the type of clothing I described the boy in my dream as wearing.

So what was that about? Was his spirit around me a lot when I was little and spending so many weekends at my Grandma's house next door to where he died?

Happiest Place On Earth

wdw

I had a recurring dream right before Christmas. I was with Mom inside some really fancy place, yet part of it was still under construction. In particular, I remember a white fireplace (not painted yet) in a room still filled with dust from construction.

Some lady was walking ahead of us, leading us somewhere. She opens these big doors (nothing fancy at all), and I realize with SHOCK that I’m on the balcony of Cinderella’s castle at Walt Disney World.

End of Dream....

Well, come Christmas morning I was watching the WDW Christmas Parade on tv when – lo and behold – they’re showing a clip of an actual SUITE being built inside Cinderella’s castle.

The Other Side

ctg

This dream was me and my father on The Other Side. My father was newly arrived and in total awe that he was there. He was almost 'out of it' because he was in such shock.

I remember it being very sunny and showing him these thatched-roof cottages where he would be staying. It was a really cozy, comforting and pretty place. However, all this time all I could think about was leaving my father to go to where I wanted to be.

I remember thinking that tending to Dad's arrival was my "duty" and that I could not wait to get back to somebody. (I don't know who I was so anxious to return to, but I now think it was Patrick). I also don't know if this dream was a memory or the future. I don't know if I was there before my father, or if we arrived together. All I know is it was very familiar territory to me and I was beyond elated to be back. I was definitely HOME.

Grandma Kept Her Word

8grandma

This is a dream my uncle had.

My grandmother was A DOG FREAK! I mean, this woman would take me on little tours of where each of her dogs were buried in the backyard. She allowed her dogs to have TWO of those miniature Baby Ruth Candy bars a day, yet my sister and I were only allowed one. Lol! She always said that her job up in Heaven was going to be taking care of animals, and I believe that she is.

After my sweet Bambi passed, my uncle out in California told us about a dream he had had. He saw my grandmother (his mother) inside some fancy room. Along the walls were tiny wooden beds all lined up. The little headboards had names on them. He laughed when he told us that it reminded him of the beds the Seven Dwarfs slept in from Disney's Snow White. Lol! Grandma kept calling Bambi's name, and after a few seconds he saw Bambi leap onto one of the little beds, wagging her tail and smiling. He said he'd never seen a happier dog.

And my uncle knew absolutely nothing about her wish to have her job on The Other Side be taking care of animals. She's only told my mother, so his dream was proof to us that Grandma was communicating with him AND that our Bambi was being looked after.

2011 Dreams

And again
May 9, 2011

ArthurJohnElsley

Why do I still do this? My niece and nephew moved to Austin around 12 years ago. My niece was only 3 years old at the time, and her brother 4 or barely 5. Scouts Honor, I finally 'got over it' somewhere around 3 years ago.

And yet I guess that, subconsciously, I'm lying to myself because I had another one of those old dreams this morning.

I'm speaking of one of those dreams about the kids, where one or both of them are little children again.

In this latest dream, my nephew was probably a little younger than he is now, but still a teenager. My niece was the same age too... until I hugged her.

When I hugged her, she felt so tiny! Small boned and fragile, like a little kid. I just hugged her and hugged her, trying not to let her or her brother know that I was crying my eyes out.

Then I woke up, and surprise surprise... drowning in tears. I hate dreams like this! The feelings in them are so intense that you literally wake from the dream with tears streaming down your face.

There was one strange element in this dream though. In it, they had a brother that I had never met. He and Luke were always picking on each other, as normal siblings do, and I felt really bad that I never knew this other kid. I actually remember apologizing to him for not knowing him as I do Luke and Autumn... considering how I was a part of their lives from the time they were newborns... yet I didn't know him at all.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of these types of dreams. They do crop up on me from time to time. ALWAYS do they involve either the kids, or pets that have passed on. I guess I just repress a lot of my emotions in my daily life, so sometimes they escape in my dreams.

This is odd. A couple nights ago I came downstairs to check on one of our cats. The light woke Mom up, and after lifting the pet gate to let her inside the laundry room, I saw a huge spider. I went inside her closet, hunting for a shoe to squash it to Kingdom Come, when she told me that the second she woke up she realized she had just had a stupid dream.

It was a dream where her mother's husband gave her mother a SPIDER ring.

Lady at Desk
3-23-11

This wasn't a dream, but have you ever gone to bed - trying to go to sleep - and out of nowhere you get an image in your mind's eye?

A lot of times it's just faces morphing one into the other, but last night it was a still picture that lasted several seconds.

I saw a woman sitting at a desk. Her hair was blonde and pulled back in a low ponytail. Her hair was kinda short, parted right down the center and hanging loose against her face. Her hair was small ringlets. Very pretty. She also wore black glasses. On the desk and to her left was a small vase of flowers. That was the only thing on the desk. No clutter at all... which would be the total opposite of any desks at our house. Lol! I'm not positive anymore, but I think she wore a white dress shirt and black slacks.

I've no idea why this scene popped into my head, but from now on I'm going to type these experiences up.

Last night I had another nightmare about my little canary (Westley) that passed several years ago, and then a lot of just plain strange dreams I can only recall bits and pieces of.

In one, there were little baby chickadees everywhere! I don't know why, but we were in the garage. There was a hole at the side of our recycling bin, and they all scampered through it and to the other side. I was petrified of Wendy Kitty catching one of the little guys.

Dream #1:
♪ "A Dragon, a dragon. I swear I saw a dragon!" ♬

(Via)

Three or four nights ago I had an interesting dream. I can't recall all of it, but here's what I do remember:

I was looking up at the night sky, and I saw a pattern in the stars. Some of the stars were red and they formed the shape of a dragon. (It was sort of like looking at a Lite-Brite picture in the sky).

Here's what a dream dictionary said about dragons:

"In the eastern cultures, dragons are seen as spiritual creatures symbolizing good luck and fortune."

What I find interesting is that someone informed me that there is an actual dragon constellation! It's called Draco. Neat, huh?

I was also told that red is a power color.

Dream #2:
Who you calling old?!
josephinewall

Two nights ago I had the silliest dream. (Well, not 'Silly-ha-ha' but kinda stupid).

All that I can remember is some stranger receiving an evp on her tape recorder. In the background of this tape, I heard Patrick's voice clear as day. It was so recognizable that I didn't even have to use headphones to listen to it.

What was odd was that accompanying his voice was some soft, medieval-type music. What he said was really silly, and in my dream I was CREEPED OUT when I heard his voice! We're talking getting the chills and feeling frightened out of my mind, but after I thought hard about what he was actually saying... I calmed down because I realized it was just a stupid evp.

What he said, along with the music that was playing, was ---

"I can hardly stand it.
These lonely old hens.
I am not happy."

Okay, you can laugh now.

And I kind of hope this was just a stupid dream I concocted myself because come on... lonely OLD hens? OLD?! OLD?! Thanks a lot.

But I can forgive being called a "hen," and that one word (and the music) is really the only reason I'm typing this dream up at all; seeing how that was a common term back then for a young lady.

As found in the dictionary online:
"dialect (Scot) a term of address (often affectionate), used to women & girls."

If this wasn't just some random dream, I can only assume he's speaking about Mom and I. It is just the two of us living here now, and we really are all alone these days. (Dad is working out of state and this week we've been incredibly busy getting the house ready to put on the market. The real estate agent came by only yesterday, and our plan is to move up to Austin where the kids and the rest of our family are).

I guess Patrick just doesn't like watching we two girls - I mean "hens" - living alone with no family around?

Or maybe this was just a random dream. I honestly don't know.

Scratch Off Tickets
2-8-11

I had another dream about scratch off tickets last night. I bought around 10 tickets, but something like 60 or 100 of them spewed out of the machine!

I was so embarrassed because people were watching, and it was an honest mistake. The machine just went crazy and I was stuck there trying to decide which tickets to take that I had actually paid for.

I didn't want everyone to see what was going on, but in the back of my mind I was thinking to just take all the tickets anyway. I mean, it was the machine that screwed up and not me. Lol!

Ghosts Again
Feb 2011

mirror-1

- Had a strange, yet disturbing dream the other night. I was with some of my family in an antique store, and my father was really ill. He felt so bad that he just laid down on the floor right there in the store. (It was some little room off to the side). He was so sick he was sweating, but at the same time he and everyone else acted like he wasn't really as sick as he was.

Next, I'm at some house with a few people. My sister and Mom were there with me, but there were also a couple of other people that I didn't really know. This place we were in was haunted.

And I mean really haunted. I've had my share of dreams about ghosts - A LOT of dreams actually - but in this one I was haunted by at least two spirits. They were not friendly, either.

What I'm about to say will sound silly, but while dreaming it... NOT SILLY! What I'm speaking of is one part of this dream where my hair (I think it was in a ponytail), and then everyone else's hair was FLOATING up from our scalps. There was some kind of electrical force with the ghosts doing it. The room was just drowning in their energy. It was very overwhelming.

Finally, I had had enough. Even though I was petrified to speak up, I started yelling at them. (I was shocked when even my sister - who has definitely communicated with spirits before - wouldn't even speak to these particular spirits). All I remember is telling them that we know they're here, but that it was time for them to move on. I told them that I didn't know if they knew it, but they were dead and had to leave and I wouldn't take no for an answer. They simply HAD to GET OUT!

I know... typical ghost stuff, but the tone of the dream was so frightening.

That's all I remember, because then I woke up. It was a really unpleasant dream. It was so unpleasant that I had the insane thought that maybe I wasn't even alone in my room just then. I even thought to myself that Dad left his K2 meter here before he moved, and if I turned it on... would it go berserk or what?

I didn't want to know the answer to that question, so I just tried my darndest to get back to sleep. Bravery when it relates to the paranormal can be overrated.

Just a funny FYI - My mom just opened the back door, not knowing it was starting to storm, so when that first BIG lightning strike came she thought someone was taking her picture. Lol!

It's too bad it wasn't Publishers Clearinghouse.

Stonehenge
1-24-11

stonehenge400
(Via)

Last night my dreams were pretty much the mundane, not-so-exciting kind. Forgettable actually, except for one part which stood out enough to write down, and which was similar to another dream I‘ve had.

What stood out in this dream was seeing Stonehenge. Yep, STONEHENGE!

I am in no way even remotely interested in Stonehenge. When I think of it, do you know what first comes to my mind? How about Chevy Chase, in "National Lampoon's European Vacation," totally wrecking the landmark with his car?

But in this dream last night I was surrounded by students - (I was probably 14 or 15 in this dream) - and being as quiet and shy as I was, I interrupted the teacher to comment on the view I was seeing outside in the distance.

Through a small opening in the room I was in (it was like a small rock building and the window was just a square hole in the wall), I saw a section of Stonehenge. It was just one of the pillars on the edge, and above it the sky was really pretty. The sun was setting, and there were some bright pink clouds above the pillar.

I told this teacher that that was the most gorgeous sight I'd ever seen in my entire life... but apparently this teacher didn't give a snit what I thought. She just continued with her lessons. (They were really stupid by the way, only I can't remember what they were about).

I looked up "Stonehenge" in the dream dictionary, and it said what I thought it would:

"To see Stonehenge in your dream, suggests that you are undergoing some spiritual enlightenment. Light has been shed on something that was once confusing. Alternatively, the dream is symbolic of a mysterious and powerful force."

Whatever the meaning, I just think it's a little odd that twice now I've dreamed of historical landmarks that had this spiritual vibe to them.

And even though the building I was in was similar to a cave, and there was no glass in that little window or even a door... it definitely felt like modern day to me. There were electric lights and everything, so it wasn't like it was a past life dream. (Which I haven't had in a loooong time).

A Little Blond Boy
Jan 11, 2011

Decluttering the house this week, I found my old High School stuff and mixed in were a couple dreams which I wrote down.

I didn't know it at the time, but now I think those dreams are Patrick-related. (It's a good thing I wrote them down because I had completely forgotten about them... which is strange because after I read them I remembered them VIVIDLY).

First Dream:

This one was dated August 9, 1994. I wrote a short description of it, then a few years later wrote a longer description because I just couldn't get it out of my head. Below, I'll type up the more detailed description.

Note: Keep in mind that oftentimes Patrick would come to me in a dream incognito. Back in those days, the only celebrity I liked was NKOTB member Jordan Knight - and yes, I find the "knight" reference pretty coincidental and kinda humorous - so I can see why he might come as him. (I think I might have one other "Jordan/Patrick" dream written down on this site as well).

But here's the dream I found earlier this week. I'm going to copy/paste it word for word -

A few years ago I had one of the most beautiful dreams, and of Jordan Knight actually. I think his clothing was all black, and he was standing near the formal living room window. We were outside in the backyard. I was away from him, probably by about 6 feet. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the wind was blowing the trees around. There were flowers everywhere, and I could see a lady bending over to pick some beneath the window. She wore a flowing white dress and large hat, similar to that needlepoint picture we had on the wall in the living room above the couch.

A little boy with blond hair (about 1 1/2 to 2 years old) was running through the yard with a bubble wand. He's in front of me, where the patio would be, and he was having so much fun!

I watched him playing with those bubbles, and then I saw Jordan just gazing at me with this little smile. I looked back at him and smiled some, too. We just stared at each other, but said nothing. We didn't have to. We were so happy and so much in love that words literally couldn't express our feelings for each other.

I had this dream before Luke (my nephew) was born... he was born 3-2-95; one year after this dream... and now that I look back on it I'm beginning to wonder if this little boy was LUKE! The boy in this dream looked EXACTLY like Luke did at that age; even down to the hair. (Luke's hair was very blond as a toddler).

EVERYTHING in this dream was so beautiful. The grass and trees were a beautiful green, and it was so quiet. All you could hear was the wind blowing through the trees. The look, and most especially the FEEL of this dream was so wonderful. It was exactly what Heaven must feel like.

And "Jordan"... (yes, the quotes are there for a reason)... and I were soul mates, for a fact, in this dream. I don't believe I will EVER feel that way about a man in my life, EVER. It was just so beautiful. It was a short dream, which felt like... well, destiny and that we were fated to be together. It was also as if he and I felt that we were married.

Second Dream:
(This one was dated November 23, 1994)

Jordan is in our living room, and I'm not really sure if he could see me. I was following him, and then I sat down.

So did he.

Later, Jordan stood up and he was carrying a little boy with light brown hair. It was the same boy as in another dream I've had before.

Third Dream:
(This dream doesn't belong to me... which makes it really STRANGE)

I came across a note from one of my friends in high school - written back in 1991 or 1992 - and in it she mentioned having a dream that she and I were pregnant at the same time. She said Jordan was in the dream, and he and I already had a child.... a little BOY that was BLOND! (And um, Jordan had very dark hair and Patrick... well, can ye say BLOND? Lol!)

I find that so incredibly weird and strangely coincidental, seeing how years later I had two dreams about the same boy. (And it's not like I remembered her telling me about her dream. My friends and I wrote each other all the time, so it was easy to forget a note from last week, let alone years before).

I don't know what the deal is with this little boy appearing in those dreams, but a THEORY is that it's relevant with Patrick somehow. I have a few theories, but that's all they are. I'm not saying I believe it's the truth. I have to be open minded and skeptical.

And this is interesting, but when my nephew was little one of his favorite things to play with was BUBBLES. I even have an aunt that used to give him and his sister bubbles whenever she saw them.

One other thing - Back in those days I wasn't even trying to figure out who Patrick was. I didn't know his name or anything. I only knew him as "that ghost" or "that knight" which I saw when I was a little girl. (He was fixing the bed covers at my feet). I knew zippo about him, so thinking he was actually Jordan (or whomever) in disguise in a dream never crossed my mind until over a decade later. Eventually, the puzzle pieces/theory just started coming together.

Irish?

irish

This dream was from a few weeks ago.

I was angry with someone - my sister I think - and then suddenly I become very aware that I'm yelling with an IRISH accent.

I wasn't Irish, so of course I was really self-conscious about what was happening. The next thing I remember is forcing myself to speak normally... with my (slight?) Texas accent. ;o)

FYI - I've always wanted to have an Irish accent, and when I first started writing it was really difficult for me to write female characters without an Irish accent. (I've always found that strange, especially since it's always just the women I would hear with that particular accent).

Fire and water
Jan 2011

Well, lets see... a PENGUIN was in my first dream. (Can't say I've ever dreamed about a penguin before. I dream about animals all the time though).

I read this in a dream dictionary:

To see a penguin in your dream signifies that your problems are not as serious as you may think. It serves as a reminder for you to keep your cool and remain level-headed. Alternatively, seeing a penguin in your dream suggests that you are being weighed down by your emotions or by a negative situation. You need to find some balance and inner harmony.

My second dream was also strange. The first part I can barely recall, but I remember Wendy Kitty being in it, as well as a lot of stray kittens.

We were in some backyard, and I leaned over a fence to look over the top. What I saw was some little tree or bush, and beneath it was rolling fire. I could see the flames licking the bottom of the tree and the grass. I never panicked though because the yard was a little flooded, so the fire was continuously being doused.

The dream dictionary said this:

Depending on the context of your dream, to see fire in your dream can symbolize destruction, passion, desire, illumination, purification, transformation, enlightenment, or anger. It may suggest that something old is passing and something new is entering into your life. Your thoughts and views are changing. In particular, if the fire is under control or contained in one area, then it is a metaphor of your own internal fire and inner transformation. The dream may be a metaphor for someone who is "fiery". It represents your drive, motivation, and creative energy.

This Nonsensical dream was brought to you by Doctor Who....

I never bother writing down my dreams which are just stupid dreams, but I might change that this year.

Okay, total nonsense was this dream. I had a baby and I was still rather young; probably a senior in High School. My baby was a little girl, and she would cry when anyone other than myself held her. I was really protective of her.

I remember speaking to the father outside of a high school. He was working on something; handyman-type stuff. I was bossing him around about my cat, Wendy. I kept stressing to him, over and over again, that he had better make sure Wendy gets home safely because I'm petrified of her getting out of the building. I was just so adamant about him listening to me, because for some reason I really didn't trust him. (I think it was just because I was overprotective of Wendy. I only wanted her to be safe). I then leave, only to return seconds later to give him a kiss and apologize for being so bossy.

Now the dream gets weird... for the first time anyway, as it gets stranger every moment now. His reply was something about Scotland. He told me that not everyone is like me and is crazy about men in kilts. Lol!

Next thing I know, I'm in some hallway at school and there's this rack of what looks like greeting cards. Suddenly, the 9th doctor from Doctor Who (Christopher Eccleston) is in it. I'm not sure if he was the same man from earlier, or another guy. All I know is he was a teacher of some kind, and that I had remembered that I hadn't attended classes in a while and had no clue where they were or what time I had to go to each one. (I have that scenario in my dreams a lot. I think a lot of people have that dream).

He told me that he had changed his classes around since I'd been there last.

Again.... the dream gets weird and plain stupid yet again. There was a class of his that was named "Recollections," but he changed it. I saw the new name for this class on a greeting card of all things. It was solid black, and in white block lettering were the words "Come Back To Me." (Yes, that phrase again).

And um..... also scattered throughout this dream was an obsession of mine in waking like. Naturally, what I'm speaking of is Starbucks. (I was holding my child, and expecting someone to pick me up from school. I kept thinking that if I really hurried, I just might find the time to stop in the Starbucks for a frappuccino).

There was more in this dream, but I can't remember any of it just now. (I only hope my dream self got her Starbucks).

Animals everywhere!

The night before, my strange dream was me riding in the car with my parents. To my astonishment, all kinds of animals had just taken over all the countryside and roads.

I was so afraid of them getting run over, but they didn't seem afraid at all. They were just lazing about the middle of the road... walking across the road together... hanging out along the sides of the road. I mean, they were EVERYWHERE and there were so many of them.

Older Dreams - 2008 & 2009

The Past
12-16-09

dark-woods2

This dream was strange. It was the middle of the night and very dark out. Dawn must have been approaching because the sky was a pretty blue color. There wasn't a cloud in the sky either. I was in some pretty place near the water and a little wooded area. There was a huge lake surrounded by trees; weeping willows, or something similar. Also, there was a building next to me, which I think was made of stone. (It was too dark in my dream to know for sure and I only saw part of it). I think it was a small church because it had skinny stained glassed windows with pretty colors.

I was speaking to some man. I think he had short black hair. It was a quiet night, but I knew fighting... swords for sure, and maybe cannon fire. Not sure about the cannons... was going on, or about to go on from the other side of the lake. It was like the calm before the storm, and this man and I were speaking very low. We were either just acquaintances, or had just met.

When I woke up early this morning, the name "Branberry" was instantly in my head. I'm not sure that's how it's spelled, but it's how it sounded.

Owls and Snow

Had an awesome dream last night. It was night-time, and I was standing in the backyard. There was some snow on the ground, but not much. Still, I was amazed that the snow that was left didn't look like it would melt anytime soon.

In the yard I saw a very low lying bush of some sort... it was more like underbrush.... and bursting out of it in flight were 2 or 3 owls. These owls actually GLOWED a beautiful GOLD. They were just too surreal and beautiful.

Side Note: I don't know if it's related, but the 2 acres we bought recently is in "Owl Creek." I don't know if this dream has anything to do with that, or if it's something else. (A dream dictionary would say owls in a dream would represent wisdom, etc).

If anything, it was an awesome dream!

Moons and Earth
9-4-09

moonearth

Had a dream the other day where I was floating in the middle of the ocean. Some of my family was with me, and it was a beautiful afternoon. I looked up at the blue sky and noticed two moons. The one on the right was a little higher than the one on the left. I was amazed and quite perplexed about this. Lol! I tried telling my mother to look up, when the next time I looked up I didn't see the two moons any longer. Instead, I saw one moon and THE EARTH.

Penny/Ghost
4-5-09

penny1

I'm really not so sure this was Patrick coming to me in a dream. I really don't know. I don't want to babble, so the gist of the dream is being in a skating rink, and on my way out some people are trying to tell me something.

I turn around to see for myself... a penny is floating on it's own right behind me and towards my back. In the dream it immediately made me think of the scene with a penny in the movie "Ghost," and I knew it had to be Patrick paying me a visit. I paid special attention to the numbers on the penny, hoping I'd see the #'s 1 and 2 (soulmate numbers) as confirmation, but instead I saw 1's and 3's.

So yeah... it might just be a nothing dream. As always, I'm left guessing.

Update:
It just now dawned on me that in the movie Ghost, PATRICK Swayze plays the ghost.

The only dream I've really had lately is seeing a closeup of a brownish vine with a single rose blooming on it. It was a pretty pink rose.

UFO's and a ghost?
1-26-09

I had these two dreams last week, which I believe were on the same night.

First dream: I was walking upstairs at night in the gallery area when outside I noticed this large flying disc. It was flying around the house. Outside the windows I could see that the skies were all red, from the glowing lights on the ufo. I automatically knew that they were everywhere. Not just in this neighborhood, but everywhere on the entire planet.

Next thing I know, I'm inside this ufo with my mother and some people I don't know. Everyone was extremely weary of these 'aliens,' yet - as in all my space dreams - the aliens looked just like us. (They might have just appeared like us in order to not freak us out). I understood that they were just trying to understand us. I remember this one guy (alien) sitting behind a white desk of sorts, taking notes as he asks us questions. (The desk was just this 3-sided piece with just the top slab and then the two sides. Just 3 boring white 'blocks/slabs' if that makes sense). Everyone was nervous and tense, but wouldn't let it show because we all knew nothing about their ways of thinking and how they viewed us.

The only other thing I recall from this dream is them telling my mother that she was highly intuitive.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Second Dream: Don't know what to make of this one. No clue.

All I remember from this one is being on some flat land. At least I think it was flat. It was lots of land with no structures around. Just sparse trees. Small trees just starting to grow. It was very FOGGY, and I think it was early in the morning. I was speaking to this man, only he was.... well, he was dead. Lol! He was a spirit passed on that only I could see and hear. He wore the same thing that myself and others were wearing: some kind of robe with chocolate brown and blue vertical stripes. It was some kind of soft, cottony material. Fleece or something.

In the end of the dream I asked the ghost a question, but he disappeared before he could answer. As I suspected, it turned out that he was just teasing me, pretending not to be there anymore when he really was. Anyway, he laughed and then answered my question. What that question was, I have no idea.

When he left for good, I remember my dream-self thinking that I hoped this spirit wouldn't mind if I called him "Papa."

So yeah. Lol! I'm not sure why that was unless he really was my father in the dream. I do know that I knew him while he was still alive. I was just fortunate enough to be able to communicate with him after his death as well.

Bluebird Eggs & Book
12-2-08
bwbirds290

I had a strange dream last night, but I’ll only mention what I mainly remember.

Our neighbor, Penny, was over and I was holding a bird’s nest. Inside the nest was a hardcover of my book alongside two pretty bluebird eggs.

Snow!
Dec 2008

SarahSummers

Two or three days before it SNOWED (Yipee!), I had a Gerry dream with SNOW present. (Precognitive dream? You bet!) I was taking a trip with lots of people. I was so incredibly excited to see all the snow. I couldn’t wait to snap pictures of it, but everyone else was there to ice skate in the outdoor rink. I got out of the car, camera in hand, when I spotted Gerry in the distance. He was TALL and oh-my-God was he gorgeous. In this dream I was mad for the guy. I mean ‘Twitterpated’ beyond all hope. Lol! So I see him in the crowd and he catches me trying to slip away unnoticed. I never could ice skate and didn’t want to be forced to, so I wanted to slip off to take pictures of the snow instead. But Gerry saw me, and when he did he gave me this look that told me “Like hell you’re getting away. Nice try, but you’re not going anywhere.” He literally dragged me away from walking in the opposite direction.

Next thing I know he and I are in some room, sitting on a bench against a wall. We’re all alone and just talking. The whole time he was talking I kept wishing the man would just shut up and give me a kiss. Lol! We were only friends, but I knew I had to keep my feelings for him secret. I understood that he had to feel like HE was the one in control and making the first move. Anyway, he was wearing this strange necklace of a spider. He took it off and said he’s probably not going to wear it anymore, as it was silly. The whole time I couldn’t believe I kept a straight face b/c I thought the necklace pretty ridiculous, too.

After that, some people come inside the room. I was really disappointed because we were no longer alone, and not once did he make a move. Lol! He just talked every now and then, but for the most part was pretty quiet.

Television/Message
11-9-08
dream_bd

I really don't know that this means anything. I can barely recall this dream.

All I do remember, is that on a television I saw a scrolling text with a message from Patrick. It read: "Kristin you said you would come back to me...."

(Yes, there's that familiar phrase appearing yet again; "Come Back To Me").

There was lots more on the screen, but I just cannot recall it.

Becky
11-5-08

Night before last, it took a while for me to fall asleep b/c of the voices I'd hear in my room off and on. (Some woman commenting to someone I was trying to sleep, then random words I couldn't hear well). I hear them in my room a lot these days, always at night, and usually it's a woman. They're harmless though, so it really doesn't bother me. Over the past months, I've slowly been talking myself into trying to develop my clairaudience. I've always been afraid that once it's on, I won't be able to turn it off.

So this morning I dreamed that I was walking down the gallery upstairs, headed towards the bathroom. Once in the hall, I noticed that the computer was on in the guestroom. I could hear Patrick's voice constantly saying - "Becky... Becky... Becky... Becky." In the dream I didn't enter the bedroom b/c it was the middle of the night, was dark, I was the only one upstairs, and I just didn't have the guts to go in there alone I guess.

I'm not exactly sure of the reason, however, b/c then I immediately woke up from my dream.

Wake Up!
9-27-08

rolandrisse

We lost electricity from the hurricane for 15 days. (NOT fun, by the way). One of those evenings I did have a possible Patrick dream. In it I saw my nephew, Luke, only he was a little younger than he is now. I haven't seen the kids for a while now, and in my dream I was about to leave when I told him I loved him. My nephew said to me that people are always telling him that, and that he wishes people would come up with a new way to express those words. Lol! When I asked what other words he was looking for, he said "Wake Up." (Just like Patrick said in that loud evp that I have of him).

Weird dream, I know, but I've learned to pay attention even to the silly ones. Maybe it's his way of explaining to me what he meant by that evp. To "Wake Up" and remember that we love each other perhaps? (Even that feels uncomfortable to me, as I don't "know" him in my waking life.  I'm VERY skeptical.  Can't help it).

I also keep thinking I had a dream about him a few days back, only I can't recall any of it.

I don't know why I never mentioned this before, but over the years I have had this other recurring dream. I'm standing on this balcony of a huge castle. I'm surrounded by LOTS of people. Tons of people, shoulder-to-shoulder. It's pitch black out... and when I say that, I mean it is VERY DARK. So dark that you can't even see the people's faces when up close. It's really noisy with people talking, and we're all watching fireworks.

I also remember feeling in this dream that I should be having as much fun as the people celebrating around me. Instead, I was pretending to enjoy myself, at least a little bit. I felt very... unfulfilled, I guess. Alone. Sad.

Bats!
8-20-08

1bats
This is a little strange. (Well, sort of, as things like this happen to me all the time).

Last night one part of my dream was a bat flying into our house, then - thankfully - flying back outside. Then today I turn the tv to Ghost Hunters. The first thing I notice is that a bat is harassing the team members. Then late tonight, what did Mom tell me but that she swears she saw a bat fly into our garage and then back out again. Lol! She said the neighbors laughed at her, saying it must have been the shadow of a truck. (Erhm, I don't know of any cars having wings unless it's the Batmobile).

But I thought all these bat coincidences pretty darn neat.

But back to my dream...

Another part of it was seeing some insect similar to a butterfly. It was all the colors of the rainbow. When I saw it, it severed in half but remained perched on the house.

I know what this meant, too. It echoes my hopelessness in ever finding an agent. That dream (hence the rainbow colors) is as good as dead, yet there it stays on it's perch.

Elizabeth

Isn’t this awesome? I had a dream the other morning where my sister and I were in my mother’s room watching tv. All of a sudden the lights flicker. When this happened I saw – with my own eyes – the light switch on the wall moving up and down. That right there told me it was a ghost that was turning the lights off and on. I turned to my sister and asked her if she knew the name of the spirit doing this. She concentrated on it a moment and said “Elizabeth.” (Which shocked me in the dream b/c it was a familiar name to me somehow).

Well, the next day I told my mother about it. Directly afterward, I checked my email and in my inbox was a new email from a friend asking if I was entering the latest contest on this author’s site. She said she thought the answer to the contest was “Elizabeth,” but that she wasn’t sure and didn’t have one of the books to do a look-up for that name. (The book which she didn’t have was the prize actually).

Well, today I read that she WON this contest. I thought that was so amazing. I just knew she had to win this one b/c of the “Elizabeth” coincidence I came across that morning in my dream.

What’s Up, Doc?
Aug 16, 2008

When going to bed last night I had an image of a funky looking rabbit in my head. Since Patrick has mentioned my love of rabbits from that past life to 2 or 3 people, and since I've dreamt about one over the past year, I figure there's a possibility this is related to that past life. If so, I had one shaggy, crazy looking rabbit. Lol! It was a medium brown color with a creamy (not quite white, but almost) underside. It's ears hung down low and at an angle, and were really shaggy. This rabbit was very "scraggly" looking. I don't know much about rabbits, even though I did have one as a pet for a long time. It ran loose in our backyard like a dog, and lived quite happily beneath our deck. Thumper didn't have much to do with us though.

Anyway, this morning the word "Angora" kept popping into my head. I figured there must be a breed of rabbit with that name, but wasn't sure. I finally just googled "Scotland... Rabbit" and lo and behold I see pics of that scraggly little beast whose breed really is called "Angora."

I think this is grasping at straws, but on Wikipedia it mentioned this breed originating in Turkey. That stuck out to me b/c YEARS AGO my mother mentioned something about how she felt like Patrick might have been to Turkey sometime in that past life. Maybe stumbling into that was a message? If so, perhaps Patrick brought me back one from there since I had so many other rabbits and were so fond of them... and especially since that breed didn't really exist anywhere else at that time.

Some of them are pretty funky looking. I wonder if I even recognized what the heck it was? Lol! The one I saw in my mind's eyes was much scragglier than the ones in these pics.

Book
July 14, 2008

I wish I could recall the entire dream, but all I remember is seeing a book set against pitch black. On the cover was a picture of Patrick's face that kept zooming in and out, sort of like a hologram.

The book was surrounded by little sparks of fluorescent green light whenever the pages were turned.

Basketball Game?
April 2008

This I'm not sure about. This dream really ticked me off actually. I was inside some gym where a basketball game was going on. Patrick was there, but he was ignoring me. I never received the impression that Patrick in this dream was the trickster spirit I've mentioned before, so either it was really him or it was just a dream I conjured myself. Anyway... in this dream Patrick's mind was fixated on nothing but that damned basketball game. I remember wanting a simple little hug from him, yet he outright ignored me. His eye was trained on that game and the players. It's like he was on a mission.
