I had another space dream yesterday morning. It's been a while since I had one, and even though this was a brief dream I think it's worth writing down. (Simply because they've become rare, although I think I had one recently but forgot all about it because I never wrote it down).
First of all, it's a little out of left field. Okay, so it's A LOT out of left field.
This dream was very quick, and at the very end of it I was waking up. (This happened to me recently with another dream, but like I said... I never wrote it down and now I can't remember it). In this dream someone was bestowing knowledge on me. I never saw them. All I saw was a planet or nebula; just outer space really. I don't even know if this person was male or female.
What they told me is really difficult to explain because 1). it was explained very briefly in just one or two sentences, and 2). What they were talking about was completely out of my wheelhouse. They were talking about physics here, which is way over my head. I'm fascinated by astronomy, but when it comes to subatomic particles and the like... I'm totally lost.
If I'm remembering this dream correctly, they told me that the Universe created us. The Universe created human beings, and we are just one working part of String Theory.
See? I told ya it was weird. I can't even remember what string theory is. Actually, I don't think I ever have known what it is so after I had this dream I decided to look it up.
I'm still confused, but imagine this was just a rubbish dream anyway. And weird.

Purple Planet

Had another space dream last night.
In this one I was in space, looking down on a planet. It was so DARK all around, but the planet below glowed a very DEEP purple. I was looking down at the curvature of it, and the entire dream was just this feeling of danger; that space travel was incredibly dangerous and unpredictable, and I hoped we'd survive it.
Well... just now I decided to write down this dream on here. I started looking for a photo to use with this post, and when I typed "purple planet," the results from Google were a bunch of articles.
Here's one:
"Find a purple planet, and you may have spotted alien life. Some of the first Earthlings were purple bacteria that ruled the planet about 3 billion years ago. If any Earth-like exoplanets host similar microbes, their distinctive hue will be visible from space."
To me that's one weird coincidence.

The Return of Tiger Lily

I had a really quick dream this morning.
In this one I entered our craft building. Once inside I saw Tiger Lily, my cat that passed away a few years ago.
I was so happy, and surprised of course, to see her! I scooped her up and carried her outside with me, announcing to my mother that Tiger Lily was back!

Hello Again!
Last night's dream was really, really weird.
In this one I had died. All I know is it had something to do with my head. It was on the right side, near the top. I don't know the details though. I'm pretty sure it wasn't anything like a brain tumor because in this dream I kept envisioning a hole there, so it was something like a gun shot or I hit my head on something.
Okay, creepy, so... moving on.
What's weird about this dream is the undeniable fact that I had indeed died, but then four years later I was alive again. I was back from the dead. Same age and everything.
I was literally dead for four years, then one day I just popped back into existence as if nothing had happened. (In the dream I was matter-of-factly telling this to a few people).
I even remember my dream-self thinking about how hard that must have been for my parents to lose a child, but at the same time it was almost as if all of that was swept under the rug once I returned.
We had all just moved on, accepting the mystery of all of this but also being grateful that everything was okay again.

Magical Creature

(Via)
In this dream I was cleaning beneath a dusty bed. I remember there being empty boxes, Madame Alexander dolls, etc underneath it. Someone that I didn't like lived there, and was asleep in another room nearby.
Someone inspected how messy it was, but I told them not to worry about the dust because I'm a clean person. (Unlike whomever it was I was cleaning up after).
On some ledge over the area I was in I see a tiny, strange creature. It was yellow and orange, and looked to be a cross between a deer and a giraffe. (Like in the photo above. When researching images of animals that would remind me of what I saw in my dream, a gerenuk - something I've never heard of - comes closest). This creature moved strangely, sort of like those old Claymation cartoons.
I tell the guy nearby to please get rid of this thing. I'm afraid of it possibly attacking me, because as it's moving it's looking at me.
One, of two men, is wearing a red T-shirt. He tells me that the creature I'm seeing is very rare and is considered good luck to many. (Like a ladybug, or some lucky totem). I ask him to repeat that, because I didn't hear all that he said... as in what he compared it to or the creature's actual name. Instead of answering me, the two men only stare at each other in silence.
I'm told that they can't repeat its name. They said it has something to do with saying it's name too many times; like it was sacred and if you utter it's name too much the magic and it's importance would diminish.
I begin to speak but notice the guy in the red shirt has disappeared. I ignore the thought of him vanishing into thin air. I tell the other man that I'm feeling unsettled around this creature anyway, and to please take it safely outside.
A little girl, whom I was with earlier, starts to pick up the creature for me, but it hops off the ledge and hangs on to my left arm. I'm worried it'll hurt me from touching me.
The girl pries it off, and I see that there's a residue from it on my arm. It's a yellow/orange color that's tacky and pasty. I immediately try to clean it off.

Mission Space

I had forgotten about this dream until recently.
A long time ago I had this pretty ordinary dream about some room with a circular ceiling. Strung above me, from the ceiling, were plastic Disney characters in space uniforms, and then a planet. This room was filled with people just lumbering about.
A few months later I saw that Disney World added a new ride called "Mission Space." The gift shop to it was decorated like the room I saw in my dream.
So again.... I'm sometimes Disney psychic.

A Hidden Planet

Last night I had some ridiculous dreams, but one of them stood out.
I was in some room, with a professor or something. This room had one wall where the entire length of it was a window; a lot like the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek. (I've only recently started watching the NG Star Trek, so that's probably why I dreamt that. And FYI: Not really a fan of it so far. It's kind of boring. I wonder if the original series is better).
There's a big white desk of sorts in this room. The professor and I are standing behind it, looking out this large window at a planet. The professor hands me a 'slide' of sorts. (Like in the pic above). It looks like the cardboard that surrounds an old photograph, but there's dark brown transparent film on the inside.
I'm looking at this planet, which can be seen up close on the right-hand side of this large window. (Only half of it is in view). The professor is talking to me, and after he hands me that slide I hold it up in front of me. Through the transparent film I see the large planet I had been looking at, but also there - seemingly out of nowhere - there's a second planet just behind it. I think it was a blue or purple planet, and it had faint rings. When I saw those rings I instantly had the thought that that wasn't so rare a thing because most planets do have rings. (That's what my dream-self thought anyway). Either this was a much smaller planet than the one I had been looking at, or it looked smaller because it was farther away.
The strange thing is that the moment you stopped looking through the transparent film/slide, all you could see was the blackness of space and no sign of a planet even being there at all. It was completely invisible to the naked eye. Only the larger planet was visible.

Space Pod

I haven't written down any new dreams for a long time, but last night I had another space dream.
It was a short one. All I can recall is sitting inside a very small space pod with a man. I think we both had astronaut suits on, only they weren't near as bulky as the ones astronauts wear today. I believe we worked together.
I remember us looking out the window and every now and again the pod would sort of do a little dipping motion. It felt a little disconcerting when it did that. It was a normal thing, but it felt strange because you know there's no bottom to space. You could just continue 'falling' into nothing if you could. I just didn't like the feeling of being suspended inside nothingness like that, with eternity running off into forever beneath your feet.

I recall there was a small 'wheel' of sorts on the console in front of us. It wasn't round like a car steering wheel. It was a thin white rod that was in place horizontally. The man was the one that was operating it.
The entire dream was really just us talking - about what I don't know - while we looked out this window into space. The view was a lot of stars. Red stars mostly.

A lot like in the above photo, only the colors were much bolder and there wasn't any dust. All I could see was the blackness of space and those red stars.

This dream was very short.
I was speaking to someone inside a forest, and there was a white tiger there. It kept walking up to me, wanting attention.
I tried ignoring it, but it kept following me around like some dog at it's master's heels. It didn't behave wild at all. It was actually really calm and laid back. This dream almost felt spiritual.

Last night my dream was downright creepy. I didn't like it.
I was with my mother, and we were in a foreign country. It was tropical, but at the time we were both underneath a shelter/building of bamboo. It was one large "room" (no doors) made into two sections. (Like something a person would make if they went camping). I think we were in someplace like Costa Rica, although I'm not sure. (I think that came to mind only because in real life my aunt said she's thinking of moving there). The people present in this dream could speak something like Spanish, although when talking to us they spoke English. I didn't know any of these people at all, but they seemed friendly.
So my mother and I were outside, under this 'shelter,' but it was pretty disturbing. Disturbing because in one of these rooms there were coffins. I was lying dead inside one of them, yet at the same time I was in that second room with my mother and all those people... and they acknowledged me. I was telling them that they had better not leave the casket open. I didn't want people staring at me. (Which does echo my real life. For the most part, I prefer being invisible).
It was just w-e-i-r-d because in one room I'm lying dead inside a casket and in the other I'm conversing with everyone and alive... although at the same time I'm acknowledging that I am in fact dead and the reason we were all conversing together was because we were there for my funeral. (There was also something about a pillow, but I can't remember now. It became a blur, and then I started having a boring dream that isn't even worth typing up. I've forgotten half of it already anyway).
But I'd never had a dream like that before. I didn't like it at all. It was too creepy. I'm sure it must have been symbolic of burying a part of myself and moving on. Honestly, I don't care to analyze it much. It was an uncomfortable dream, although I have had worse. Usually my dreams are about rescuing animals in distress. I dream about spirits and space a lot, too, although it's been a while since I had a really interesting one.

February 2013
Black Cobras
This was also creepy, and a little similar to a dream I had years ago. In this one my mother and I were crossing a little section of road, by foot and also by car. The trouble was that on this road there was this gigantic nest of black cobras. They were upright, in attack mode and with their fangs showing, only they were all frozen. Completely frozen still. (Not frozen, temperature-wise, but motion wise).
We knew we didn't have a choice, so we ran (and drove) right through them in order to get to the other side. Luckily, they never woke up and each time we crossed the road there and back safely.
Still, this is not a dream I would ever want to repeat.

Two More Dreams
- All I recall is yet another dream where I'm protecting an animal. In this one the kitchen door was slightly ajar as Mom and I peered outside. We were watching a UFO. The entire time I was worried about my dog, Abigail, slipping outside. I didn't want any of our animals outside while there was a flippin' UFO flying around.

This UFO was pulsating a whole host of colors: red, green, blue, yellow, orange.
- In this next dream, more animals were present. (Not surprising). There was this old and abandoned house. Two huge crocodiles were living underneath the house, and these two men (brothers I think) helped them over the fence to freedom. Next, I saw this really tall peacock. It was as tall as a person. And then the last thing I saw was some dog playing in the yard with a dinosaur toy.
Note: A few days later I saw something similar on tv. They showed a puppy playing in the yard with a dinosaur stuffed animal. The only difference was that in my dream the dog was an adult and something like a golden retriever.
I'm not exactly sure when I had these dreams, as I didn't copy/paste the dates along with the old entries. I could go back and find them, but then I'd have to find my old password to a forum I haven't even visited in years.
So here we go, sans dates.

Tarot Cards

I dreamed that Mom woke me up and stood at the side of the bed. She had tarot cards in her hands, only they were over-sized tarot cards. Very large, like the size of a big picture frame.
I think she told me the cards had to do with my past life. I can’t remember 2 of the cards, but I do remember one of them. It was a picture of a red-headed woman (high society I think, or very near it) atop a white horse. (Note: I’ve been told, and have dreamt myself even before then, that in a PL I had reddish hair and that Patrick had a white horse). The horse blanket on the mare was a rusty red and green, and the lady sitting on top of the horse was reaching down to the men on the grass below. There were about 4 or 5 of them. One of them had straight black hair and was older than myself; like he was an uncle or something.
I remember Mom telling me that that particular card was a happy card. But I didn’t quite believe her b/c I thought there was a little bit of blood on the card. As if I had just escaped the midst of some battle or something. (Which makes me remember that 'tent/battle' dream listed on this blog).
And that’s it. That’s all I can recall. I wish I could remember what the other cards were.

Creepy Gnomes

I had this one a while back but can't seem to find wherever I wrote it down.
All that I do remember about this dream is being in the backyard at our old house in Pearland. It was nighttime I think, and there were these gnomes out there. When I saw them, I headed into the house as quick as I could because they were really creepy. I would close the sliding glass doors, and they would practically plaster their face against it to peer inside.
They looked like we all imagine gnomes to look... red hat, etc... and they moved really strangely. The only way I can describe it is as if they were trying to run in a pool of water, or to just imagine some CGI character with unrealistic animation in how they moved. They had very grouchy faces, too.
They were chasing me, but I quickly discovered that the very first second that you stand up to them they run in the opposite direction. They were very confrontational, but once you stand your ground they don't waste any time getting away from you.
Still, they kept coming back... and leaving of course, because I would stand up to them.

Revisiting Childhood
Now this dream I had many, many years ago. I know I wrote this one down somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.
The main gist of it was that my present self was secretly watching my childhood self - and my sister - during a family outing. I was standing on higher ground than my childhood self, hiding behind a bush, because I didn't want my younger self to see my older self.
When I had this dream, I STRONGLY felt that this place in my dream really existed and that we did used to go there sometimes when I was a kid. When I described the place to my mother, she said it sounded like a museum we'd been to a few times.
What it looked like was a very manicured lawn in front of a white building with a flag pole out front. The lawn sloped down into a large lake, and that lake was where me and my sister - as children - were playing.

Same Dream/Brother
Again... I know I've written this dream down before but can't for the life of me find it. This particular dream was pretty amazing because my mother and I both had this SAME DREAM on the SAME NIGHT.
We both dreamed about the son that my mother miscarried before I was born. We described him exactly the same way in both our dreams: dark blonde/light brown hair... very tall... and VERY attached to some woman.
We even described the woman the same, only I think her clothes were different in my mother's dream. Her personality we both agreed on though. She was very talkative and this boy was like glue to her side. And I mean this literally. He was like her shadow, and she was perfectly okay with that. He was very, very close to this woman. She was like a mother or caretaker to him.
And the biggest thing, which echoed both our dreams, was that this boy never spoke and was very quiet. He felt very untouched by the harshness of life. His soul felt very nearly angelic.
I cannot stress this enough. His spirit was just so pure and so sweet and so without any negativity at all. He was just perfect. An innocent.

Snowy Beach House

In this dream we moved, and my niece and nephew are visiting us. Our house faces a beach, but we never get to enjoy it b/c it's always snowing. (Sometimes I even forget that we now live on a beach, and I'm almost shocked when I do see it). Each time I draw back the window curtains, I see the landscape of a snowy beach.
In my dream last night I was excited and told my nephew we need to dress warm so that we can play in the snow before it gets too dark. Only... we couldn't b/c I had remembered that when Mom and I left my sister's house in Austin, we forgot to bring our luggage back with us.
I remember being really upset over not having any shoes to wear out in the snow. I had none with me, and my sister showed me her shoes. Only-- they were too big and not suitable for the snow. The only ones which were half-suitable were some ugly red shoes of hers, which I refused to wear.

Spider Rescue Gone Bad

(Via)
I was looking at this spider in a jar. I felt sorry for it, so I set it free. There was a web in the corner of the ceiling, which it immediately went to. I was VERY upset that I released the spider b/c it killed some defenseless bug.
It may have been another spider (a baby spider) that it killed, but I'm not 100% certain about that. All I remember is being upset that I granted it its freedom and within a second of that freedom it killed another insect.

Pitching a Tent
I was trying to take a bath, but it was a public place. A restaurant I believe. I was trying to get this sort of 'tent' around me, for privacy, but it kept falling down. Just as soon as I climbed back inside, the tent (comprised of towels, etc) collapsed around me.
Later, I was in this tent doing tarot cards. I had lots of them spread out, but then this girl comes up to me. She throws over to me one tarot card. All I remember is it had a picture of a lady with... maybe some kind of brown crown on her head? After the girl gave me this tarot card, I hardly glanced at it and immediately moved away. I just wanted her to leave me alone.
Note: Someone interpreted this for me, and I think they were spot on. It had to do with 'pitching' for literary agents for my book at the time.

Kittens

My sister had a funny dream about me last night. She says she dreamed that I gave birth to 9 kittens! After the 9th cat was born, my sister asked me - "Well, is that it?" She said that I just casually responded - "Yeah, I think that's it."
She said I was just as content as could be in this dream.

Of Cats and Airplanes

First dream: My sister was in her bed, sleeping. Weird thing was she was sleeping SITTING UP, and there were animals on her bed. I think they were just our pets, though sprawled on the pillow next to her was a white fluffy cat I didn't recognize. The cat was a little creepy and I didn't trust it.
Second dream: Mom, Dad and I were on a plane. The pilot came into the room and began making jokes, trying to get everyone to laugh and not be nervous about flying. I INSTANTLY knew that on the tv show, "Lost," the pilot said the exact same words.
Mom and I just looked at each other in dread. We both knew, without speaking, that this plane was going to crash. She and I both decided to get off the plane. When we were exiting the plane, the stewardesses were saying goodbye to each other and crying during their farewells. I thought that was a little weird, b/c they were really just following their everyday routine. I could only figure that, on a subconscious level, they must have know the plane was going to crash. (By the way, I don't even watch the tv show "Lost").
After exiting the plane, we were in some building. Dad saw a tarantula on a pillow and he tried to scare me by coming toward me with it. I was terrified of that spider and he loved that it freaked me out so much.
Some man that worked there (he was wearing a suit) saw it all, but he stayed out of it.

Opera House
March 2005

Ever find yourself dreaming about a particular place a lot?
I know that if you dream about a house, it represents aspects of yourself. I often dream about two mansions. (Actually, it’s possible that it really could be just one).
I am always dreaming about this HUGE white mansion on acres of land (which is haunted), and another looks a lot like the opera house in the above picture.
When watching Phantom of the Opera for like the 6th time, it dawned on me that one of my ‘dream houses’ looks like that opera house; only mine is all white marble and there are statues everywhere.

A few months after my Grandma died, I started having dreams about her.
Dream # 1:
Not too long after my Grandma passed away, I was on vacation at the time in Port Aransas. (My nephew was just a newborn). I was sleeping on the couch when I had this dream where I was in a graveyard at night. I think it was lightning. I was sitting by a grave and there was a girl there. She had long, straight black hair and wore blue jeans with an old grey shirt. I kept telling her that I can't cry about Grandma's death because I just don't feel anything and know that if there is a Heaven she's happy.
I told the girl I didn't miss Grandma. Then, in a sweet tone, the girl said : "Yes you do Kristin."
I broke down right then and there, and that was the end of the dream.
When I woke up, I had huge streams of tears rolling down my face but I didn't feel sad at all. Then Mom came into the room, saying she heard a noise. (No idea what that was about, as I don't talk in my sleep).

Dream # 2:

I was in a foreign country. Initially, I thought it was France but weeks after having this dream I saw a program on tv about Venice. In it they showed a building that I saw in my dream. It was the Santa Maria Della Salute Church, and it was surrounded by water just as I saw in my dream.
I was walking along the street with some guy friend. (I never saw his face). To my left was all water. The street just dropped off into it. There was no railing, and there were rectangular drains on the side for the water to lap through. To my right was that beautiful domed church.
I was talking to this guy and felt so incredibly happy; the happiest feeling I couldn't even imagine possible! I loved myself, I loved my friends, and I loved my job... whatever it was.
I loved my home! I had found my place, and nothing would ever ruin that.
Grandma was walking a little ahead of me. She was beautiful! I only caught her from the back, but youth and beauty glowed about her. her hair was swept up as it always was, but it was a chestnut brown and was so soft and shiny! She was slim and wore a gorgeous pink dress scattered with rosebuds. It was long and reminded me so much of a Victorian-type dress that someone could wear nowadays, too. (Note: Weeks later I found the exact same dress at a Marshall's or Ross store. It was in my size and it was the only one. I guess it was a gift from her, and I also think it's funny that it was a pink dress. I only say it's funny because growing up my grandma was always telling me that I'm always wearing pink, so that must be my favorite color).
I was now saying goodbye to my friend, because I had to go to work again. I was on cloud nine about that! I walked towards the church, which was off in the distance.
As are all my dreams with Grandma, she never spoke to me. She was just... there.

Dream # 3:

The family and I were visiting Rome. I had decided to take off on my own to explore. I went into a jewelry shop and was having a grand time.
The shop was small, but full of people. I remember a mother and her son to my left. The boy was losing his temper over something. I think I remember one glass door being on my left, and next to it were clocks encased in glass shelving. I was facing the counter.
I felt free and very happy, but then my father walked into the store. He was angry because I took off on my own.
Next, we're walking outside and towards the hotel. The streets were filled with people and there were a lot of lamp posts that were lit for the night. It was still kind of dark though. We were walking on a square.
I walked ahead of my father, really fast. I was steaming mad!
In the distance I thought I saw grandma, but then I thought to myself that that can't be her because she's dead! Just as I was trying to brush it off, she kept walking towards me. She came up to me with a beaming smile, said nothing and handed me a bouquet of flowers. She never stopped next to me either. She only kept walking, and immediately I wasn't angry anymore.
After having this dream, I looked this up in a dream dictionary. It said that a bouquet being given by a deceased loved one means they're thinking of you.

Dream # 4:
I was walking down a street filled with cars and carriages, and there was a tall, black iron fence surrounding a mansion. The mansion itself was on a corner, but I didn't see it.
Before the mansion was a bar, and the street was a mixture of past and present intertwined.
Before my walk down this street, however, I walked into a hotel. The outside of it wasn't fancy. The huge body of water to the right of me was my proof that I was in Venice, Italy.
The hotel had an 'entryway' if you will; like they have in malls and grocery stores. It was encased in glass, and I remember marveling at the view of the water. A 'bench' protruded from the wall. Grandma was sitting there, talking to some older man. He was shorter than her, and I think bald. She and I didn't really pay any attention to each other. I walked into the lobby and met up with my friends. I think they were all couples.

Dream # 5:
This dream of Grandma was short and sweet. I was standing in a l-o-n-g winding line someplace in this large room. (It reminded me of the lines at Disney World). The room me and all these people were in was just all white, with not pictures or anything. The only objects in the room were the people and the corded off areas for the lines to form inside and wrap around.
Also in this line was my sister I think. (I had this dream a long time ago, but I do recall seeing her in the dream. I just don't think we were standing next to each other. Also, my nephew might have been there, too, but I'm not sure about that at all).
So I was standing in this incredibly long line when off in the distance I see Grandma. She was smiling, waved at me said "Hi Kris! I love you!"

Dream # 6:

I recently came across this dream in one of my old journals. (I used to keep journals about my niece and nephew when they were young). I had this dream on 9-3-1999. This is what it read:
I'm now reading "An Old Fashioned Girl" by Louisa may Alcott. I just read a peculiar chapter tonight simply titled, "Grandma." It's about a grandmother, her grandchildren, and Polly sitting with her in her room. They all chose a drawer in which to pull a trinket out of. From there, the grandmother would tell a story about whatever object they were curious to learn about.
This felt a little strange to me as I read this chapter tonight, because two nights ago I dreamt that Anne (my sister) and I were rummaging through some of Grandma's old dresser drawers. We were looking at "treasures." Anne found some of Grandma's famous gold slippers. (Grandma wore those all the time, and I still have fond memories of those... silly as that sounds). I was disappointed in the conclusion of my own search for the very same slippers. Grandma had so many pairs of them, and Anne only found one shoe. I SO WANTED to be the one to find them!
What I did find was somewhere around 4 or 5 bulky silver journals adorned with jewels - sort of like one of the first photograph albums we have of the kids; the one that's silver with Luke's photo on the front.
I told Mom I don't think I could ever read them because they're only for Grandma's eyes and are just too personal. Mom looked at me as if to say Grandma would only want me to have them.
Still, I decided never to open them.
We also found a lot of little trinket pins; mainly Disney-ish. And from there, my dream was Disney-ish and really stupid.
So I dreamt I was in Grandma's bedroom last night, only it didn't look a bit like her old room in Houston. All I remember is a pink quilt and a few cardboard boxes. One box had Strawberry Shortcake on it. (Which now makes sense, because my Grandma used to always comment that I'm always wearing pink. Also, she loved strawberries. Her kitchen was even decorated in strawberries). I asked grandpa if I could have that box, as well as another one.
Anyway.... that was the dream I recently came across in one of my old journals. What I find so odd about it is - 1). The psychic nature of it. I had the dream, and then the very next night read the same thing in a book I was reading. And 2). After my Grandma passed away, I was eventually given her old journals.... just as in my dream. (And when I had this dream I didn't have any journals yet).
